Special Olympics Coach, Heather D’Amico, is honored to say that we have a Unified Sports Special Olympics track team that will be participating in the upcoming Special Olympics of Florida State Summer Games from Friday, May 16th through Sunday, May 18th.  These students are:  Christopher Saltsman, Frank Ramirez, Robert Lopez, and Christopher Rodriguez.  These students will compete in the Unified Sports 4X100m relay and the 100m run events.  Each of these students have already earned 1st place ribbons for these events during both the county and area games and will be striving to earn gold, silver, or bronze medals during the state games.

Disney’s Wide World of Sports is hosting the events, including both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.  There will be a tape-delay telecast of the Special Olympics of Florida State Games events shown on the Sunshine Network/Sun Sports cable channel.
